Sliceform wall pod

A stack of acrylic rings, locked by slotted fins and spines, that hangs from a plate on the cabinet side. A nursery pot drops in from the top and lifts out for watering at the sink.

Cut files

Red hairlines are cuts. Blue text is part numbers: set that layer to score or engrave in XCS, or delete it. Keep the masking on while cutting and handling.

Build order

Cut the fit coupon first. Push an offcut of the same sheet into each slot. Pick the slot that takes it with firm hand pressure and no wobble, and enter its number as the slot fit.
Cut the sheets. Peel the masking only once you are ready to assemble.
Stand the two side fins on their hook edges, parallel, with the hooks hanging over the edge of the bench. Press the rings down onto both fins in order, floor first. Numbers read the same way up on every ring.
Slide the front spines inward toward the center, one at a time. The cage goes rigid once all of them are home.
Stack the spacer plate against the cabinet and the face plate over it, with the face plate text at the top. Screw both through the same four holes. Snug, not tight: acrylic cracks when crushed.
Push the cage's hooks through the face plate slots and let it drop. It lifts back off the same way.
Drop the pot in. To water, lift the pot out, water it in the sink, let it drain, and set it back.
